Filament Lighting is owned and operated by Petros "Peter" Manukyan since January 2005.  Armenian born, Peter immigrated to Los Angeles in May of 1980.  Always having had an affinity for taking things apart (like his toys when he was a boy or cars as a teen) he naturally fell into the creative world of lighting design and has followed his passion ever since.  Peter is known for his excellent vision and extensive knowledge in all things lighting, vintage as well as new and works with many of the leading designers in the industry.  The ever humble Peter when asked about his accomplishments responded "I don't know about that.  I just see it as a job that needs to be done."   A testament to his character as a true artist and collaborator, Peter is a gem in the industry and a delight to visit in his studio where you can surely find him tinkering away at a new idea or bringing new life to vintage luminaries.
